2XU triathlon bag review

2XU triathlon bag review
July 02 22:30 2016

In my first triathlon races, I didn’t know what was the best way to carry all my kit with me. A big plastic box, cheap and handy, has done the job for a while. The downside was the transportation. You can put it on your handlebars and walk with your bike, but I would discourage you to try cycling with it.
And that’s one of the advantages the 2XU backpack bag offers. But that’s not the only one; it has more to it! Starting from the bottom, you have a wet compartment, ideal to leave your wetsuit and tri suit after the race, avoiding drips all the way to your car post race. There’s a front helmet pouch that can easily take an aero helmet as well as two elasticated mesh drinks bottle holders. It has a huge compartment in the middle, big enough to take all your kit, a pair of pockets for accessories (one zipped) and a mesh bladder holder. The interior of the lid has another zipped pocket and a licence card holder. But I would advise you to use a safety pin to secure your British Triathlon card in it. On the outside of the lid, there’s a soft zip pocket on top along with a headphone port, making it easier to thread calming pre-race tunes through on the way to transition. There are reflective details, comfy back padding and cross straps for extra security too.
